Swimming Carnival

Last week was our swimming carnival.
We showed all the things we are learning in swimming like:

  • floating
  • kicking straight legs
  • head under the water
  • games and rhymes
  • floating with noodles
  • floating with flutter boards
  • sitting on the bottom of the pool
  • swimming under water
  • freestyle swimming
  • blowing bubbles
  • listening and following instructions
  • getting into and out of the pool safely
Thank you Kelly for the awesome photos!

Filling our buckets

Today Mrs Aldridge gave us an empty bucket and some pompoms.  We had to say kind words to others in the class and fill up their buckets. We were not allowed to fill our own buckets with our pompoms.

When someone said something kind to us - they added a pompoms to our bucket.
We said "Thank you for the kind words and filling our buckets."

Numbers at Beachlands School

On Wednesday we went outside and took photos of numbers in the playground.

We were learning to

  • count groups of numbers to sort
  • work in a small group to complete an activity

Shapes at Beachlands School

On Monday we went outside and took photos of shapes in the playground.

We found circles, squares, triangles, hexagons, ovals and rectangles.

Caterpillar and Butterfly Paintings

"The Very Hungry Caterpillar"
The butterflies we made with paint were folded in half to make a reflection.
A reflection is when one side is the same as the other side.
