Grandparents Day

When the Grandparents came to school on Friday:

  • They listened to the teacher.
  • They sat quietly around the mat.
  • They read books and poems to us.
  • They played games and took turns.
  • They shared activities with us
  • They used the ipads and computers carefully.
  • They sat down and ate their lunch sensibly.

They were good Beachlands Learners.
We love our Grandparents.

Our ideas about Grandparents

Eric Carle Artwork

We have been reading Eric Carle books this week in Room 9.  Our shared book was "The Very Hungry Caterpillar."

To make our caterpillars and butterflies we:

  • painted paper one colour
  • sponged on another colour on top
  • draw the butterflies on a white page
  • cut or torn out paper to collage the butterflies and caterpillars.

Last Friday night was our first disco at school.

We ate.

We drank.

We danced.

We laughed.

We sparkled.

We had lots of FUN!!!
